it was a perfect sunday in connecticut…after a blip in our travel plans (talking so much we missed the exit for the mass pike by 20 miles) we reached the berkshires and took a left – headed for the trade secrets garden tour….it was wonderful! and green!
our 1st stop was twin maple farm which, aside from a stunning georgian house, had a really cool woodland walk, stunning tree forms….and a very very round pond
after a short stop for latte…(what pairs best with stunning gardens? a rich latte!) we headed to the property of bunny williams (the bunny williams) and john roselli (the john roselli)….what a place….and more wonderful green
at rockwood farm…a lovely shade garden and unique vegetable corral…asparagus is so darn beautiful
we did not have time to take in the michael trapp gardens – i am hoping that next year will be the year….this is a tour not to be missed
textures are an enormously important part of garden design
