2016 – container gardening

it’s cold outside…but we are thinking ahead to late spring 2017.  here are a few of the 2016 container garden plantings we did for our clients…(we often forget to photograph so these are just a few of the many client containers we planted in 2016!)

SPRING 2016

EARLY SUMMER at Dr. Sarah’s, Belmont – red + claret, lime green + chartreuse, a hint of blue – FUN! a pair of tapered square charcoal containers

back at the woodlands….the euphorbia ‘was still going’ when we transitioned these 3 charcoal grey containers on a back deck to their summer wardrobe….keeping it cool with greens, whites, texture + a burst of yellow.

late summer transition to greens + whites!  the plumbagos were purely plumbago’d out…as were a few other gems – these were perfect for our friend beth’s ‘dinner party season’!  simple, straight forward classic plantings in green + white

NOVEMBER – getting ready for thanksgiving and all that follows!

lincoln – we love working at this location (cool barn addition to an older classic, beautiful gardens + stonework)

winter 2016 – we continued the frosty + bright pairing – it brought us great joy (hoping our clients loved it as much as we did!)  7 containers in lincoln – fun combinations

after lincoln we headed to mary’s house – i drive by this stone wall each morning on the way to the shop – like to see her half moon planter looking seasonally spry!

also in belmont – the week before thanksgiving…we had to wrestle this prize winning standard out of the container….remember may 2016??

once the lights went on these were just spectacular!

it’s january and we are selecting our plants, ornaments + thinking about color + structure and the season ahead.  our service includes 1, 2, 3 or 4 season container plantings (design, plant selection + installation) and container selection.
